NATIONAL N-DIPLOMA
This qualification is primarily aimed at giving a student theoretical knowledge, practical knowledge and workplace knowledge and skills required in their chosen vocational area. The design of the qualification enables students to progressively obtain the qualification by completing the related N1, N2, N3, N4, N5 and N6 courses, in a particular vocational area.

THE PART-TIME COMPONENT IS OFFERED THROUGH OUR OPEN LEARNING UNIT, WITH THE FOLLOWING AIMS:
• To create access for company-employed
students aspiring to enhance their qualifications, either to change their
careers or to access promotional opportunities;
• To facilitate access for employed students who are not in close proximity to a TVET College.

- Grade 12 Certificate with pass in Consumer Studies/ Hospitality Studies/ Home Economics/ NCV Level 4 in Hospitality.
- Farming Management
- Grade 12 Certificate with pass in Agricultural Science/ NCV Level 4 in Primary Agriculture.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ISSUING OF THE NATIONAL N-DIPLOMA
A student is required to satisfy the following requirements. He/she must have:
- Achieved the N4, N5 and N6 Certificates; with a minimum of twelve instructional offerings (i.e. subjects);
- A minimum of two instructional offerings on the N6 level must be relevant to thecandidate’s vocation;
- Completed the relevant DHET application form, requesting to be awarded the National N-Diploma. This application form must be accompanied by a detailed letter from the student’s Employer/s, confirming that the student has acquired the relevant workplace experience in the required time.
- All applications are done via the relevant College Examination Centres. Such applications are reviewed and, where appropriate recommended by the Academic Board of the College to the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
