INTRODUCTION
This NC(V) Programme is delivered under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training and quality assured by Umalusi. The Programme integrates theory and practice and provides students with a broad range of knowledge and practical skills within the Electrical field.
The NC(V) Electrical Infrastructure Construction course covers heavy current as well as light current. Heavy current covers the distribution of electricity, domestic wiring, civil and industrial industries. Light current covers fields such as digital electronics, industrial electronics, communication electronics, sound engineering and instrumentation.
Students who successfully complete the NQF Level 4 qualification may seek employment opportunities in this field of study. Students who wish to further their academic studies may advance to the N4-N6 Electrical Engineering National Diploma courses.
