The Centre for People Development in Madadeni, a delivery site of Majuba FET College, recently held an awards ceremony to present their 96 co-operative entrepreneurship learners with certificates. The Centre for People Development Campus urbanized a partnership with the “Department of Economic Development” to fund Co-Operatives Theory and Practical Training to these competent learners so that they can contribute effectively to the development of their enterprise project. On the day, the skillful co-operative learners set-up displays to showcase their masterpieces that left all guests hanging over their unquestionable talent. Their businesses ranged from fashion designing, honey making, vegetable and poultry farming, bead making, bed and linen manufacturing, catering and many more to point. To launch the function in true South African style, Majuba staff members were chosen to model in the traditional and elegant wear designed by the fashion designing co-operatives.
